StickerBoard Privacy Policy

Introduction

StickerBoard (hereinafter "the App") respects user privacy to the fullest extent. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the App.

Basic Policy

The App does not collect or transmit personal information that identifies users, such as names or email addresses.

All data such as stickers and boards created by users is stored solely on the device. However, data may be transmitted externally for the following purposes:

• Crash reporting: Crash reports (error logs generated when a crash occurs) may be automatically transmitted to improve app quality (see the "Crash Reports" section for details)
• Advertising: If you are using the free plan, advertising identifiers and related data may be collected for ad delivery (see the "Advertising" section for details)
• Usage analytics: To improve the App, records of in-app actions and screen recordings are sent in a form that does not identify you (see the "Usage Analytics" section for details)

Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect the following information:

• Personal information such as name or email address
• Location information
• Original photos before sticker extraction

Note: Third-party services (Google AdMob) may collect device identifiers and advertising-related data for ad delivery purposes (see the "Advertising" section for details).

Data Stored on Device

The App stores the following data on the device only, to provide its features:

Sticker Image Data

• Sticker images captured by the user (with background removed)
• Saved in PNG format in the device's Documents folder

Metadata

• Sticker names and creation dates
• Board names, placement information, and background settings
• Filter and border settings

App Settings

• Onboarding completion status
• Subscription (Pro Plan) status cache
• Unplaced sticker reminder notification ON/OFF setting

This data is stored on the device, and the data itself is never transmitted externally via the network (for cases where extracted sticker images or boards appear in screen recordings, see the "Usage Analytics" section).

Camera Usage

The App requests access to the camera for photographing stickers.

• Images captured with the camera are used solely for sticker extraction processing
• Captured images are never transmitted externally
• Camera access can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings

Photo Library Usage

The App may request access to the photo library for photographing stickers or saving board and sticker images.

• Images selected from the photo library are used solely for sticker extraction processing
• Exported board images or individual sticker images are saved to the photo library upon user request
• Photo library images are never transmitted externally

Notification Feature

The App uses local notifications to remind you about unplaced stickers.

• Purpose: If you have stickers that have not been placed on any board, you will receive a reminder notification every Saturday at 10:00 AM
• Data transmitted: Notifications are generated solely on the device. No data is sent to external servers
• When permission is requested: Notification permission is requested after completing the onboarding on first launch
• Enabling/disabling: Notifications can be disabled at any time from the "Notifications" section in Settings
• Revoking permission: Notification access can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings > StickerBoard > Notifications

Board and Sticker Sharing

When you use the board sharing or sticker sharing feature, content can be shared with external apps via the OS standard share sheet.

• Data shared: Board or sticker image data only
• External transmission: When you choose to share to an SNS, messaging app, or other service, the content is handed off to that app
• Privacy policy of destination: How data is handled after being handed off is governed by the privacy policy of the app the user selects
• No personal information: Shared images do not contain personal information such as names or location data

Local Network Usage (Sticker Exchange Beta)

The App's sticker exchange feature (beta) requests access to the local network to directly exchange stickers with nearby users.

• Technology used: Direct device-to-device communication (Wi-Fi / Bluetooth) using Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework
• Data transferred: Sticker images only. No personal information such as names, location data, or account information is included
• External server transmission: Sticker exchange data is transferred directly between devices without going through external servers
• When used: Only when the sticker exchange screen is opened from "Beta Features" in Settings
• Revoking permission: Local network access can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings > StickerBoard

Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads to users on the free plan.

• Who sees ads: Free plan users only. Upgrading to the Pro plan removes all ads
• Service used: Google AdMob (Google LLC)
• Information collected: Device information, advertising identifier (IDFA), and app usage data may be collected for ad delivery and optimization
• Tracking consent: An App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission dialog is displayed on first launch. If you decline, non-personalized ads will be shown instead
• Data destination: Servers operated by Google LLC (United States)
• Opt-out: You can disable ad tracking by going to iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > turning off "StickerBoard"

Subscriptions (In-App Purchases)

Pro Plan subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store.

• Payment information is managed by Apple; the developer does not have access to it
• Subscription status is cached on the device

Crash Reports

The App uses a crash reporting service to improve quality.

• Service used: Google Firebase Crashlytics
• Information collected: Error logs when the app crashes (force quits), device model, OS version, and app version
• Information not collected: Personal data such as user-entered information, sticker images, and board contents are not collected
• Data destination: Servers operated by Google LLC (United States)
• Purpose: Used solely to identify the cause of crashes and improve app stability
• Opt-out: You can stop sharing crash data by going to iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > turning off "Share with App Developers"

Usage Analytics

The App uses an analytics service to improve usability and investigate issues.

• Service used: PostHog (PostHog, Inc.)
• Information collected:
  • Information about in-app actions (screens viewed, saving stickers, creating boards, placing stickers, sharing and saving, starting and completing Pro plan purchases, etc.)
  • Screen recordings (session replay): For some sessions, the appearance of the App's screens and taps are recorded. Recordings may include extracted sticker images and boards
  • Device and app information (device model, OS version, app version, language setting)
  • A random identifier automatically generated by the App for each device
• Information not recorded: Original photos before extraction, photo backgrounds on boards, the camera and photo library screens, and text input fields are hidden during screen recording and are not sent. Your IP address reaches the destination in the course of communication but is discarded without being stored
• Purpose: Used solely to improve the App, such as understanding how features are used, finding hard-to-use areas, and investigating issues. This information is never linked to personal information such as your name, and is never used for advertising
• Data destination: Servers operated by PostHog, Inc. (United States)
• Retention: Screen recordings are kept for 30 days. Other information is kept for the period defined by PostHog
• Opt-out: You can stop further sending by turning off "Share Usage Data" in the App's Settings > Privacy

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Apple StoreKit: Used for subscription management. Apple's privacy policy applies.
• Google Firebase Crashlytics: Used for crash reporting. Google's privacy policy applies.
• Google AdMob: Used for ad delivery to free plan users. Google's privacy policy applies.
• PostHog: Used for usage analytics. PostHog's privacy policy applies.

Data Sharing with Widget

The App shares data between the main app and the widget to display boards using iOS's widget feature.

Data Shared

• Board snapshot images: Board images for display in the widget (JPEG format)
• Board metadata: Information such as board name, number of stickers, and last updated date (JSON format)

How Data Sharing Works

• Uses Apple's App Group mechanism
• Data is stored in a shared container on the device and is shared only between the main app and the widget
• Data is never transmitted via external servers or networks

Data Management

• Widget data is automatically updated and deleted in sync with board creation, editing, and deletion
• Uninstalling the app also deletes the shared widget data

Data Deletion

• Sticker and board data can be deleted at any time through in-app operations
• Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data
• If using iCloud backup, data may be included in backups

Children's Privacy

The App does not collect personal information that identifies users, including children. The information described in the "Advertising" and "Usage Analytics" sections is sent in the same way regardless of age. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as needed. In the event of significant changes, you will be notified when the app is updated.
